Job Title: Trainer/Auditor-Medical Insurance Follow-Up

POSITION SUMMARY:
As Trainer/Auditor-Medical Insurance Follow-Up, you must have a clear understanding of the Vision and Mission Statements and be able to translate them into reality through your day-to-day relation with the insurance staff members. Responsible for training new hires as well as recurrent training of the insurance department staff to ensure all third-party medical claims are resolved in the most effective and efficient manner. This is a training and auditing position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for new hire, client specific insurance training, including HIPPA
• Train supervisors/managers
• Manage monthly audits and deliver findings to staff and management
• Organize training sessions for employees to develop their understanding of insurance policies and procedures as part of their PIP (Process Improvement Plan)
• Proactively reports critical issues to management
• Designs, updates and implements policies, procedures and protocols to ensure efficiency and accuracy in insurance operations as needed
• Attend client meeting to stay up to date on all policy and procedure changes
• Conducts departmental trainings with staff for updates and to educate them on new work methods
• Provide the necessary guidance and on-job coaching and in-service training for the staff
• Report any abnormalitys you might notice.
• Assume new responsibilities as and when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Extensive Experience working on EPIC
• Extensive Experience with all third-party medical payers
• Extensive experience working hospital billing/follow up as well as physician billing/follow up
• Experience trainings large and small groups of representatives
• Ability to effectively motivate a team or individual
• Ability to interact with and communicate with clients as well as staff

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• A high school diploma and a minimum of two years relevant experience is preferred
• 2 years minimum of training experience
• 2 years auditing experience
• 2 years minimum experience working in EPIC
• Knowledge of HIPAA
• Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, utilizing proper grammar
• Prior PC and keyboard knowledge are preferred
• Ability to compute basic math calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages is preferred
